Community engagement remained central to Hilltop’s values in 2025, with our family of companies demonstrating a strong commitment to giving back through both time and financial support. Over the course of the year, Hilltop employees logged more than 1,500 hours of volunteer service, while employee and corporate contributions totaled more than $3.0 million in support of nonprofit organizations and charitable causes across the country.
We continue to empower employee philanthropy through our Heart of Hilltop Matching Gift Program, which matches eligible employee donations to qualifying nonprofit organizations. Hilltop also promotes hands-on community involvement by offering volunteer time off to all employees and by highlighting exceptional service each year through our Hilltop Holdings Volunteer of the Year award.
In April we held our first company-wide Volunteer Week with nearly 90 employees volunteering more than 170 hours at organizations across the Dallas-Fort Worth area, including Genesis Benefit Thrift Store, Greenspace Dallas, the Stewpot Food Pantry, American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge, and United Way of Metropolitan Dallas.
Hilltop renewed its partnership with the Dallas Independent School District’s (DISD) Career & Technical Institute in 2025 by once again sponsoring the Hilltop Entrepreneurship Challenge. Employees played an active role in the program, mentoring the 71 one student teams as they developed original business concepts and offering them insights throughout the planning process.
Our efforts to fight hunger continued in 2025, as Hilltop and PlainsCapital Bank built on their longstanding partnership with the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) through a new $225,000 pledge. This commitment is enough to provide more than 675,000 meals through 2027. As part of the commitment, PlainsCapital sponsored a new NTFB semi truck which delivers food daily across the organization’s service area. Employees also volunteered in-person at NTFB’s distribution center and took part in a holiday Virtual Food Drive.
Our commitment to community support extended beyond pre-planned volunteering and fundraising opportunities. When tragedy struck the Texas Hill Country with devastating flash flooding in July 2025, our employees stepped up to donate over $38,000 to support victims and their families. With Hilltop’s matching donations and additional corporate support, we contributed more than $87,000 in total.
