Community involvement and charitable giving continued to be high priorities for the Hilltop family of companies during the past year. In 2024, our organization donated more than $3.9 million and provided hundreds of employee volunteer hours to support a broad range of community initiatives throughout the markets we serve.
During our fourth year of supporting Community Partners of Dallas (CPD), we increased our efforts and nearly doubled our company-wide impact. Employees from across the Hilltop family of companies donated $4,305 to the virtual toy drive, fulfilled 50 wish cards for children in need, and volunteered at the CPD warehouse to sort toys for the holiday toy drive. Additionally, Hilltop donated $5,000 to further support the organization’s mission to provide for the urgent needs of children who are forgotten, abused, and neglected, while also supporting the CPS caseworkers who help them.
We continued to support public education in 2024 through our partnership with the Dallas Independent School District, where Hilltop employees volunteered more than 180 hours in the form of mentorships, speaking opportunities, and other efforts to provide pivotal learning experiences for students. Our ongoing Buffalo Scholars program also awarded $40,000 in scholarships to students pursuing college degrees.
Employees at Hilltop also supported the North Texas Food Bank’s (NTFB) efforts last year through fundraising, participating in a virtual food drive, and volunteering. In June of 2024, more than 70 employees volunteered at the organization’s distribution center and sorted 32,000 pounds of food, to provide over 27,000 meals to those in need.
To celebrate Earth Day, Hilltop partnered with Greenspace Dallas for a trail cleanup event in the Trinity River Corridor. Employee volunteers cleared more than 1,300 pounds of trash and created over 300 “seed bombs” that were later strategically scattered across greenspaces in Dallas to bolster pollen sources for bees and promote ecological balance.
This past fall, the Hilltop family of companies initiated a new partnership with the American Heart Association (AHA). Employees supported AHA’s mission of ending heart disease and stroke through internal fundraising efforts and participation in the organization’s annual Dallas Heart Walk.
As we reflect with pride on Hilltop’s work last year to give back to our communities and support those in need, we are also looking forward to the future. Community involvement is a cornerstone of Hilltop’s culture, and as a company we plan to continue supporting community organizations and charitable causes throughout the markets we serve.
